Strawberry crush, a strawberry pulp, is an easy fruit-based syrup recipe. These fruit pulps are readily available in your nearest supermarket. However, if you make them at home, it will cost less. In addition, you will get preservative-free natural fruit pulp or fruit syrup.
We all know that fruit base syrups, pulps or crush has additives, artificial food colour & preservatives. Therefore, they might not be suitable for certain people. That’s the reason I am sharing an easy homemade strawberry crush recipe.
Why sugar syrup?
Use ordinary granulated sugar from your kitchen. Of course, using powdered sugar will also do. But, on top of it, using thick sugar syrup is a far better idea. In India, we call it chasni.
Sugar syrup is always better than sugar granules or powdered sugar. To make sugar syrup, you need to melt sugar using water and heat it.
While boiling the sugar, it leaves impurities. You can see white foam on the inside edge of the vessel. What needs to be done is cool down the syrup and use a filter to strain the impurity.
Doing this will give you sweet syrup without any impurities. Moreover, the syrup, after straining it, will look crystal clear.
On the other hand, when we add granulated or powdered sugar directly, the impurities get dissolved. Hence, sugar syrup is advisable instead of granular or powdered sugar.
Okay, now let’s move on to the making process.
Having Strawberry Crush WITH
There are multiple ways to eat this yummy fruit crush. You can mix and match this crush with other items to make it more delicious. I have listed some of them below. Take a look.
Banana Strawberry Oats
Boil oats in water—empty oats into a plate. Cut two bananas and layer them on the boiled oats. Now layer the strawberry crush. Your banana strawberry oats are ready. Sprinkle some white chocolate chips to garnish.
Gulkand Strawberry Milkshake
Add some ice cubes to a glass. Now add 2-3 tablespoons strawberry crush or more as per your taste. Finally, add milk and mix. Your strawberry milkshake is ready.
Strawberry Ice-cream
Ice-cream retailers already have this flavour. But why buy from the shop when you have ready-made homemade fruit crush. Take 3-4 scoops of plain vanilla ice cream and pour strawberry crush on the ice cream. Garnish it with dry fruits along with strawberry as the topping. Eat & enjoy your homemade strawberry ice cream.
Strawberry Halwa
Roast all-purpose flour in ghee. Add the crush and mix well. Finally, add dry fruits and serve hot. Although the halwa recipe mentioned here is brief yet that’s how it is made.
