This drumstick curry is one of the simplest recipe we can make at home with the ingredients that are easily available. You can keep the consistency of it as per your want. Fill your stomach with this recipe and enjoy it with khichdi or rice.
Iron is essential for blood and calcium for strength of the bone. Drumsticks are a rich source of both iron and calcium.
Drumsticks are prepared in different ways. Some people make it with brinjal, cashews, sweet potatoes and even with pumpkin. It is also used in Sambhar of South Indian cuisine.
A sweet and tangy recipe named Pulusu is also made with drumsticks.
First of all heat the oil in a heated pressure cooker
Add onion to the oil and cook for few minutes (until pink)
Then put the diced potatoes in and cook them for few minutes
For the next step add blended tomatoes to the heated pressure cooker and simmer for few minutes
Furthermore, wash the drumsticks with water and drop them in with the rest of ingredients cooking it for few minutes
Lastly add the spices and the remaining ingredients which is grated coconut and salt to taste with water
Seal off the cooker till you hear 2 whistles of the pressure cooker
Serve hot with some fresh coriander leaves as garnish
