Ingredients of Mutton Afghani Gravy

  • Mutton - 1/2 kg
  • Ginger Paste - 1/2 tbsp
  • Garlic Paste - 1.2 tbsp
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Water - 1 glass
  • Black Pepper Powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Kasuri Methi - a pinch
  • Garam Masala - 1/2 tbsp
  • Chaat Masala - 1 tbsp
  • Yogurt - 1 cup
  • Cream - 1 cup
  • Green Chili & Cashew Paste - 2 tbsp
  • Edible Oil - 2-3 tbsp
  • Butter - 1.5 tbsp
  • Cream - 1 cup

Steps for Mutton Afghani Gravy

  • Take a cooker and add mutton pieces. Then add ginger paste, garlic paste, salt to taste, and water. Mix it well and boil mutton for 20-25 minutes.
  • Now take a marination bowl. Add boiled mutton, black pepper powder, kasuri methi, garam masala, chaat masala, yogurt, cream, green chili and cashew paste. Marinate it for 15 min.
  • Heat the oil in a deep vessel and fry marinated mutton pieces. Add left out gravy from marination. Mix it well and cook for 10 min. Then keep it aside.
  • Now take a non-stick pan. Heat it and add butter and cream. Cook for about 30 seconds.
  • Finally, add a cream mix in Mutton gravy.
  • Delicious and creamy Afghani Mutton Gravy are ready to serve.
