Gobi Methi Sabji is a simple, easy and healthy recipe. Both Gobi and methi have high nutritional value as well as lots of health benefits.
This is a winter special recipe. In winter methi is available in good quality. A great choice to impress your mother in law and father in law. As it is traditional sabji and will put you in their good books. 🙂
Kids usually don’t eat methi. Don’t worry I just used a small trick to make my son eat this healthy chunk.
Methi has a bitter taste and if it comes in the mouth of kids they don’t like it much. Just chop it finely. You can add some chatakedar chat masala to eliminate the bitterness.
Ingredients of Gobi Methi Sabji
Cauliflower - 250 gm
Methi leaves -100 gm
Oil - 2 tsp
Turmeric - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 2 tsp
Red chilly powder - 2tsp
Salt - To Taste
Ginger paste - 1 tsp
Coriander leaves as per choice
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Hing -1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves Optional- 1 tsp
Steps for Gobi Methi Sabji
Heat oil in a pan.
Then add mustard seeds and hing (asafoetida) to it, then add cauliflower and salt to it and mix well.
After 5 mins when cauliflower is cooked add all remaining masala and last add methi leaves to it. Cook for 2 mins.
Once the methi is cooked add coriander leaves. Your tasty, healthy Gobi Methi Sabji is ready to serve.
