Thicker Sweet Corn Soup Indian Style

Ingredients of Sweet Corn Soup

  • Water - 4 glasses
  • Corn - 1 pcs (large size)
  • Cooking Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Black Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
  • Green Chili - 2 pcs (Chopped)
  • Water - 1/2 glass
  • Salt - 1 tsp
  • Coriander - 1 tbsp (Chopped)
  • Corn - 2 tbsp (Boiled)
  • Oregano - 1 tbsp
  • Mint Leaves & Boiled Corn - for garnishing

Steps for Sweet Corn Soup

  • Take a pan, add water, corn and boil it till corn is soft. Once boiled, cool it, and grind it to a thick paste. Keep aside.
  • Take another pan, add cooking oil, and heat it. Add cumin seeds, black pepper powder, and chopped green chili. Saute for a minute.
  • Now add the corn paste to the pan with half a glass water. Mix well. Water quantity depends on how thick you want the soup to be. Add water as per your requirement. Let the mixture simmer for a minute.
  • Now add salt and mix well. Cook the mixture again for a minute or two.
  • Sprinkle chopped coriander and boiled corn. Mix again. Keep the flame low here onwards.
  • Add oregano for flavor. Mix well and cook for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Sweet corn soup is ready. Garnish it with mint and boiled corn. Serve hot.
