Ingredients of Multi Grain Chilla

  • Rice - 100-150 gm
  • Split Chickpeas - 1-2 tbsp
  • Split Black Gram - 1-2 tbsp
  • Pigeon Pea - 1-2 tbsp
  • Curd - 100 gm
  • Onion - 1/2 pcs (Medium Size) (Chopped)
  • Red Chilli Paste - 1 tsp
  • Ginger-Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
  • Coriander-Cumin Powder - 1 tbsp
  • Salt - 1 tbsp
  • Coriander - 2 tbsp (Chopped)
  • Water - Add Gradually As Required
  • Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
  • Baking Soda - 1 tsp
  • Cooking Oil - 50 ml
  • Black Mustard - 1/2 tbsp
  • Sesame Seeds - 1/2 tbsp
  • Green Chili - 2 pcs (Medium Size) (Chopped)
  • Curry Leaves - 8-10 pcs
  • Cooking Oil - 50-100 ml

Steps for Multi Grain Chilla

  • Take a mixer jar. Add rice, split chickpeas, split black gram, and pigeon pea. Grind it to powder.
  • Transfer it into a bowl. Add curd, onion, green chili paste, ginger-garlic paste, coriander-cumin powder, salt, and coriander. Mix everything. Add water gradually while mixing.
  • Add turmeric powder and mix again. Add baking soda and a little water. Mix again.
  • Take a small pan for tempering. Add oil, mustard seeds, sesame seeds, green chilies, curry leaves. Temper until the mustard seeds pop. Add it to the batter and mix.
  • Heat a flat pan. Add a little bit of oil. Pour a small portion of the batter and cook it properly from both sides. Add drops of oil if needed.
  • Multi grains chilla is ready.  Enjoy it with any accompaniment.
