Eggless Dark Chocolate Cake Recipe Without Oven

Moreover, it is eggless. So you need not worry if you are a vegetarian or just don’t like eating an egg. But the best part about it? This recipe does not require a microwave oven to bake. You can make this delicious chocolate cake even if you don’t have a microwave or oven at home.

The cake is made without much fuss. It also tastes a bit bitter since the amount of sugar is less and also because of the usage of cocoa powder and dark chocolate.

But you can increase the amount of sugar if you like it sweeter to satisfy your sweet tooth. Bournvita – that is readily available can be used as a substitute for cocoa powder. It will have a different taste. You can also put chocolate chips or grated chocolate in the batter as well as in garnishing to make it more chocolaty.

Ingredients of Eggless Dark Chocolate Cake

  • For Cake
  • Powdered Sugar - 1 tbsp
  • Cocoa Powder - 3 tbsp
  • Milk - 60 ml
  • Hide n Seek Biscuits - 2 packets
  • Baking Powder - 2 tbsp
  • Butter - for greasing
  • For Icing
  • Dark Chocolate - 130 gm
  • Butter - 2 tbsp
  • Icing/Powdered Sugar - 2 tbsp

Steps for Eggless Dark Chocolate Cake

  • For Cake
  • Take a mixer jar and empty the biscuits in it. Crush it till it gets in a powder form.
  • Then add sugar, milk, cocoa powder, and baking powder to it. Blend it properly. Keep the consistency of the batter to caramel-like. It should not be too thick or too thin.
  • Take a small cooker and grease it from the inside properly with butter.
  • Use butter parchment or baking paper if it is available. Or else, take a clean plain paper and coat it with oil or butter thoroughly. Place the paper properly inside the cooker. It will stop the batter from sticking to the inside of the cooker.
  • Empty the cake batter in the cooker and set aside.
  • Take a flat pan and preheat it on full flame.
  • Now place the cooker on the hot pan and cover it with its lid. Remember to remove the ring and whistle from the lid.
  • Now put the flame on extremely low and cook the batter on it for 40 minutes.
  • After that, poke the cake with a knife or fork to check if it is cooked. If it sticks to the knife or fork, then cook it on low flame for five more minutes. Otherwise, your cake is ready. Put the flame off and keep it aside.
  • For Icing
  • Take a vessel and add chocolate, butter, and sugar to it.
  • Take another vessel and add water to it. Keep the water to boil.
  • Once the water is boiling, place the vessel with the ingredients over it.
  • Heat the ingredients on this double boiler. Keep stirring the mixture until the ingredients melt and emulsify together.
  • Take the cake out from the cooker and put on a plate. Spread the icing mixture on it and even it out.
  • Lastly, sprinkle it with some chocolate or cocoa powder and enjoy.
