Cheese Idli With Leftover Idlis

Ingredients of Cheese Idli

  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Onion - 1 (small size)
  • Green Chili - 2 (small size) (Chopped)
  • Ginger-Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
  • Cumin-Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
  • Red Chili Flakes - 1/2 tbsp
  • Tomato - 1/2 pcs (Chopped)
  • Coriander - 1/2 tbsp (Chopped)
  • Lemon Juice - 1 tbsp
  • Water - as needed
  • Pre-made Plain Idli - 6pcs
  • Cheese - as needed

Steps for Cheese Idli

  • Heat the oil in the pan. Add chopped onion and saute it till brown. Then add chopped green chili, ginger-garlic paste, salt, turmeric powder, & cumin-coriander powder. Mix well.
  • Now add red chili flakes. Mix well. Add chopped tomatoes and coriander, and lemon juice. Mix well.
  • Add water for little gravy texture Cook till 75% of the water evaporates. Now add plain white idli and mix it with the masala.
  • Keep the flame low. Grate cheese on the masala idli. Cover the pan with the lid and allow the cheese to melt.
  • Sprinkle red chili flakes and Cheese Idli is ready to serve.
