Cauliflower Kofta | Gobi Kofta

Cauliflower is commonly known as Gobi or Gobhi. We will make Kofta from Cauliflower or Gobhi. It is a delicious Indian cuisine recipe to enjoy in dinner. The kofta balls are made of gram flour, onion, coriander, red chili, and green chili.

Moreover, the puree has authentic Indian spice flavors. It has ginger, garlic, onion puree in it that just elevate the taste of the curry and other spices as well.

It’s very simple to make curry and provide a complete taste of it. The gravy is super tender and simmered well with cauliflower that you will fall in love with the taste.

Also, it’s simple to make and does not take more than 30 minutes to prepare it. Though, you can make n number of variations of kofta curry and make it delicious. Garnish with coriander leaves and create the aroma at a higher level.

Ingredients of Cauliflower Kofta

  • For Veg Kofta
  • Cauliflower - 250 gm
  • Salt - to taste
  • Green Chili - 2 tbsp (Chopped)
  • Onion - 1 medium size (Chopped)
  • Coriander - 1 bowl small size (Chopped)
  • Garam Masala - 1 tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1 tbsp
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Gram Flour - 2 tbsp
  • Oil - 500 ml (for frying)
  • For Gravy
  • Onion - 1 medium size
  • Ginger - whole 6 pcs (2 inch size)
  • Garlic - whole 4 pcs big size
  • Oil - 1 small bowl
  • Cinnamon - 1 pcs
  • Star Anise - 1 pcs
  • Black Cardamom - 1 pcs
  • Clove - 3pcs
  • Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Coriander-Cumin Powder - 1 tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
  • Tomato Puree - 1 bowl medium size ( 3 tomatoes)
  • Salt - as per taste
  • Water - 1 and 1/2 glass
  • Coriander - 1 tbsp (Chopped)

Steps for Cauliflower Kofta

  • Take a bowl and grate the cauliflower. Add salt and mix well. Now squeeze the salt and grated cauliflower mixture. Remove water from it and take it in a separate bowl.
  • Add chopped green chili, chopped onion, chopped coriander, garam masala, red chili powder, salt, bean. Mix everything well. Make dumplings out of the mix.
  • Take a deep vessel & heat oil in it. Deep fry all the veg mixture dumplings till they turn brown. Veg kofta is ready.
  • To make gravy, grind onion, ginger, garlic. make a thick paste. Heat oil in the pan. Add cinnamon, star anise, black cardamom, clove, cumin seeds. saute till cumin seeds are brown.
  • Add the ground thick paste. Mix it. Add coriander-cumin powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, tomato puree one by one and keep stirring the mixture.
  • Cook till water evaporates. Add salt and mix again. Add water and chopped coriander and mix. Cook till the gravy becomes thick.
  • Add veg kofta to the gravy. Keep flame low. Once kofta is added put off the flame.
  • Cauliflower kofta is ready to serve.
