Lava Cake – Lava Cake Recipe

Yummy Lava Cake is a bursting dessert for chocolate lovers. Make of flour and chocolate that melts when baked in the oven and gets accumulated in the center of the cupcakes.

When pokes with a spoon the accumulated chocolate in the center f the cupcake just flows out like the molten lava. This is how these cakes have got this name. I call it the dessert duo. A great recipe to make it for valentine.

As it is chocolaty the kids are also gonna love it. Taste awesome when served with vanilla ice cream.

My wife is very much fond of baking and is a good baker. She makes lovely baked desserts. Apart from the lava cake, she has made a lovely Choco Cherry Cake. You must try it.

 

Ingredients of Lava Cake

  • Chocolate - 1 Cup (Dark)
  • Ghee - 1 Table Spoon
  • Icing Sugar - 1/4 Cup
  • All-Purpose Flour - 1/2 Cup
  • Egg - 2 Pcs
  • Cocoa Powder - 1 tsp (To sprinkle over mold)

Steps for Lava Cake

  • Melt Chocolate, Sugar and Gee on double boiler.
  • Remove from flame & then add eggs one by one. Continuously stir the mixture for 5 minutes.
  • Add Maida to the mixture & mix it well.
  • Grease the mold with Ghee or butter and sprinkle Cocoa Powder on it mold. Greasing will not let the cake base stick in the mold.
  • Fill the mixture into the molds and freeze them for at least 1 hour. The more time it is kept in the freezer the better it will be.
  • Bake the cake at 220 degrees for 9 minutes. Your yummy lava cake is ready.
