Vermicelli Custard | Semiya Custard Falooda | Eid Special

Vermicelli Custard is a fusion dessert recipe consisting of vermicelli and custard. It is the combination of traditional seviya kheer and fruit custard.

The milk consistency gets thick, and it gets more creamy when we cool it down. So down overcook the milk, or you will have difficulty later while eating.

Ingredients of Vermicelli Custard

  • Ghee - 100 gm
  • Vermicelli - 200 gm
  • Milk - 1 ltr
  • Saffron - 10 gm
  • Sugar - 80 gm
  • Milk - 50 ml
  • Custard Powder - 1 tbsp
  • Basil Seeds - 1-2 tbsp (Soaked)
  • Cashews - 8-10 pcs
  • Almonds - 8-10 pcs
  • Black Raisins - 20-30 gm
  • Papaya - 1/4 pcs (Small)
  • Pomegranate - 1/2 pcs (Medium)
  • Apple - 1-2 pcs (Medium)
  • Tutti Frutti - As Per Taste
  • Cherry - As Per Taste

Steps for Vermicelli Custard

  • Heat a pan and add ghee to it. Then add vermicelli and cook until it changes color. Keep it aside.
  • Take a deep vessel and heat it. Add milk and saffron then stir it.
  • After that add the sugar and stir again. Then add the roasted vermicelli and mix. Cook it for some time.
  • Add custard powder into some milk and mix it. Drop it into the vessel and mix properly as no lumps form. Keep aside and let it cool.
  • Transfer it into a bowl or a similar container. Add basil seeds, cashew, almond, black raisins, chopped papaya, chopped apple, pomegranate, and tutti fruti also. Mix everything properly.
  • Vermicelli Custard is ready. Put it in a small bowl and top it with a cherry. Serve it chilled.
