Ingredients of Poached Eggs
- Eggs - 1 Pcs Fresh ones are preferred
- Salt - 2 tbsp
- Water - 2-3 cups
- Black Pepper Powder - 1/4 tsp or a pinch would also do
Steps for Poached Eggs
Heat 2-3 cups of water in a deep pan till it reaches the boiling point and bubbles start coming up. Add 2 tablespoon Salt to the water. You can also use vinegar instead of salt. When you use Vinegar add only 1 Tablespoon.
Break the egg and pour it into a cup. Keep it aside.
Stir the water with the help of a spatula to create a gentle whirlpool. Reason to create a whirlpool is to keep the egg particles centered and around the yolk.
Pour the egg into the center of the bowl. Increase the heat after a minute and cook for more 2-3 minutes. The time depends on how cooked you want your egg yolk to be. Most people like it running yolk.
Take the egg out and keep it on a tissue so that the water is drained. Sprinkle black pepper powder and serve it. Your perfectly poached egg is ready to be served.
