I have been eating Gajar Hara Chana sabji recipe since my childhood. In winter, my Grandmother used to make this sabji very often.

Now she is no more, but I have always kept her remembering with her lovely recipes and her love for me. I was the most pampered by my grandmother, out of all 4 of us. I could say I was the privileged one.

Ingredients of Gajar Hara Chana Sabji

  • Edible Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Carrot - 250 gm (Grated)
  • Tomato - 2 pcs (Chopped)
  • Salt - to taste
  • Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
  • Red Chili Powder - 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Green Chickpeas - 1 cup

Steps for Gajar Hara Chana Sabji

  • Heat the oil in the pan. Add mustard seeds and saute it until it pops up.
  • Then add grated carrot and saute it for about 2 minutes. Add chopped tomatoes and saute it well.
  • Add salt to taste, coriander powder, red chili powder, and turmeric powder. Mix all the spices well. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add fresh green chickpeas and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Scrumptious and healthy Hara Chana sabji is ready to serve. Garnish it with lemon and enjoy healthy sabji during winter days.
