It’s called Murungakkai Muttai Masala initially. Since drumsticks are a vegetable that is commonly consumed in South India, you will find many recipes with them. Kodi Guddu Mungakaya Kura is one such recipe similar to this curry.
This dish is nice to have with sambar, rasam, or Thayir Sadam. Else, it is also great to have with bread, roti, or chapati. If you want to eat it with rice, then keep more gravy.
As mentioned before, this recipe is popular and common in South Indian households. Hence, you are going to find multiple recipes and different ways to make this over the internet.
One of the most common ways to make this curry is the way we made it. You can make this dish with the same recipe. However, there is another way as well. Even if the other recipe requires the same ingredients and does also not differ much from what we have done.
The major difference in that recipe will be of handling the eggs. In this recipe, the eggs are boiled and then added to the gravy. But the other way it will not be so.
The remaining process of making the curry will remain the same and the eggs are to be added at the end. However, when it will come to adding eggs this method will not use them after boiling. Instead, the eggs will directly be added to the curry.
Add the eggs gently to the curry base being careful not to break them. Then cover the pan with the lid and cook for five minutes. The dish is ready to be served then.
