Bhuni Kaleji Masala Recipe is a healthy and traditional nawabi cuisine from the old era. It can be ready in less than 30 minutes. Made with simple at-home ingredients like onions, tomatoes, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, coriander powder, and edible oil like the Butterly Arabic Roast Chicken.

Bhuni Kaleji is a great choice for mutton lovers. Kids too love it very much. My 3 years old little princess eats this like an adult.

There are many different processes to make kaleji masala but my family favorite is the bhuni kaleji version because it doesn’t contain too much shorba. Moreover, my family prefers having Kaleji with Chapati. However, if you prefer eating Kaleji masala with rice, you should opt for the traditional one.

  • Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp

  • Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Edible Oil - 2 tbsp

Steps for Bhuni Kaleji Masala

  • Remove the unwanted skin from it and wash the mutton liver thoroughly. Cut the mutton liver into small cubes of approximate 1-2 inches. Marinate it with ginger garlic paste and keep it aside until you prepare other things.
  • Take a big onion and a big tomato. Chop them finely. Heat a pan and add oil to it. When the oil is hot add the chopped onion to it and saute it. Add chopped tomato to the pan fry for 5 minutes.
  • Add red chili powder, coriander powder turmeric powder, and salt. Mix it well and cook until oil starts to float.
  • Add the marinated Mutton Kaleji and mix it well. Add 2 tablespoon of water to it. Mix it well and cook for another 10 minutes.
  • Be careful while cooking that it doesn't overcook. This might harden the Mutton Liver and spoil your recipe. The nutrients might also burn away by overcooking the mutton liver.
  • Your Healthy Bhuni Kalegi Masala / Mutton Liver Masala is ready to serve. Garnish it with fresh coriander leaves and serve it with chapati or buns (pav). You can eat it raw if you like.
