Adding a little bit of pav bhaji masala to this dish will enhance the flavor of it up to ten folds. Or if you like it tangy, then add amchur powder as per your requirement.

Ingredients of Masala Aloo Green beans sabji

  • Cooking Oil - 30 ml
  • Mustard Seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Cumin Seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Garlic - 1.5 tbsp (Chopped)
  • Asafoetida - 1 tsp
  • Potato - 2 pcs
  • Salt - 1 tbsp
  • Green Beans - 200 gm (Chopped)
  • Coriander Powder - 1 tbsp
  • Red Chili Powder - 1 tbsp (Kashmiri)
  • Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala - 1 tbsp
  • Chat Masala - as per taste
  • Red Chili flakes - 1 tbsp

Steps for Masala Aloo Green beans sabji

  • Take a pan, heat it, and add cooking oil and mustard seeds.
  • Add cumin seeds, chopped garlic, asafoetida. Mix well.
  • Now add the potato and fry till light brown. Add salt and mix well.
  • Then add chopped green beans and mix again. Cover the pan and cook for 10 minutes on low flame. Stir occasionally so that it doesn't burn at the bottom. Remove the cover and mix once again.
  • Now add coriander powder, Kashmiri red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala. Mix well.
  • Sprinkle chat masala as per taste and mix again. Add red chili flakes and mix one final time. All this time keep the flame low.
  • Masala aloo & green beans sabji is ready. Serve hot in lunch or dinner.
