Ingredients of South Indian Pumpkin Fry

  • Pumpkin - 1 cups (peeled and cubed)
  • Cooking Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Red Chili - 2-3 Pcs
  • Mustard Seeds -1/2 tbsp
  • Water - as needed
  • Salt - as needed

Steps for South Indian Pumpkin Fry

  • Heat oil with a medium flame, once hot, add mustard seeds, when it splutters, add red Chili then wait for a few moments until it turns the color.
  • Add cubed pumpkin, required salt and toss together. then spray a spoon of water.
  • Cover and simmer the pan. cook until the pumpkin turns in soft.
  • Once it rocked switch off the flame and serve with south Indian style simple Pongle (made up of rice and salt) or plain rice or just you can have as a snack.
