Dhaba Style Egg Curry

Dhaba Style Egg Curry is very easy &  you can make it under 30 minutes. Made with boiled eggs. It is a package of spices and eggs cooked in onion and tomato gravy.

This egg curry is usually served on dhabas in North Indian with Makki ki roti or Bajra ki roti.

This dish is one of the most favorite dishes of an eggetarian and is loved by people of all age groups.

Ingredients of Dhaba Style Egg Curry

  • Eggs - 4-5 (Boiled)
  • Onion - 1 1/2 cups (Paste)
  • Tomato Puree - 1 cup
  • Oil - 4 tbsp
  • Bay Leaves - 1 small piece
  • Cinnamon - 1 piece
  • Cardamom - 2 pieces
  • Cloves - 2 pieces
  • Ginger-Garlic Paste - 1 1/2 tsp
  • Red Chili Powder - 1 1/2 tsp
  • Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - as required
  • Water - 1 1/4 cup
  • Kasuri Methi - 1/4 tsp

Steps for Dhaba Style Egg Curry

  • In a pan take oil and remove the eggshells and make cuts with a knife and fry the eggs in oil until golden and set aside.
  • In the same pan, saute cinnamon, bay leaf, cardamoms and cloves. Add in the onion paste and saute until golden.
  • Add in ginger garlic paste and cook till the raw smell goes off. Next, put tomato puree and saute until it thickens.
  • Add red Chili powder,garam masala powder, turmeric powder and salt. Fry all till the nice aroma comes out.
  • Add water as needed and prepare a gravy. Cook till the gravy thickens and starts leaving the oil.
  • Lastly, add boiled eggs and kasuri methi and cover and cook for 2-3 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves.
