Bread Jamun Recipe

Bread Jamun recipe is a delightful and easy on-the-spot dessert made up of breadcrumbs. I bet you it won’t take much time to prepare. The taste is stunning and unique from the normal Jamun.

I have used oil for deep fry, but if you wish, you can use ghee to score the richness of this goodie.

Ingredients of Bread Jamun

  • Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Bread - 6-8 slices (tune to your need)
  • Milk - 2-3 tbsp (boiled)
  • Milk Powder - 1tbsp(Optional)
  • Cardamom - a pinch
  • Rose syrup - 1/4 tbsp
  • Ghee/Oil - as needed
  • Water - as needed

Steps for Bread Jamun

  • Heat water with a medium flame once it starts to boil add sugar & boil it with lower flame.
  • Continue to boil until the sugar syrup shifts somewhat sticky. (Often stir)
  • Once it's done add cardamom and keep it aside to cool.
  • Meanwhile, cut the edges of bread and toast few seconds. Then blend the slices into a fine powder.
  • Then spray the milk over the powder and knead until it gets a smooth and soft dough.
  • Heat oil with a medium flame once hot lower the flame and make tiny smooth balls and drop into oil/ghee slowly.
  • Fry the balls until it turns golden brown. Once you did, drop the jamuns into the sugar syrup.
  • Cover and keep it aside for 1-2 hours. Your yummy and delightful Jamun is ready to serve.
