Here is a list of all the cereal’s names in a few Indian languages like English, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, and Marathi.
Cereals are edible grains. Indian cuisine consists of many of these cereals, incredibly healthy and nutritious. They fall under the standard category of millets.
Rice and wheat make the majority of dishes in Indian cuisine. However, other millets are also in use and consumed. Indians consume millets in different forms.
They are either consumed as a whole in dishes. Or we make them in flour and use them to make flatbreads. Wheat, rice, finger millet, pearl millet, sorghum, etc., are common to make flour from.
Not only these, but we also have many varieties of laddu, pudding, halwa, and breakfast items- like idli– made from them.
After knowing a few things about these cereals, let’s now see what they are called in different Indian languages.
