Peanut Jaggery Laddu Recipe – मूंगफली गुड़ लड्डू

Peanut Laddu is an interesting sweet dish containing peanut as its vital ingredient. It’s crunchy, delightful, and one can eat it in between meals—a perfect 3-ingredient dessert recipe.

All you need is to roast the peanuts, grind with jaggery powder and you are sorted. It can also be shared as protein bars or balls.

People use peanut more in curries and chutney to achieve a nutty flavour in it. Other than that, peanuts are also used as chikki, another sweet delicacy in India.

This sweet delight is a famous sweet in Maharashtra and made during festivals. Peanut Laddu is a winter dish. Indians make this to provide heat and keeping the body warm.

Usually, we roast the peanuts and store them in an airtight jar to snack on later. Peanuts are nutrient-dense nuts, and so its good to include them in your food.

There are many ways of making Peanut Laddu either solely only with peanuts or with the addition of ingredients like coconut, sesame seeds or nuts. Some recipes call for a softball or hardball consistency in jaggery syrup for making peanut Ladoos.

Peanut Laddu can be stored for 3-4 days if kept in an airtight container. You can serve these Ladoos plain or even serve it as a sweet snack in the tiffin box.

Ingredients of Peanut Laddu

  • Cooking oil - 1 tbsp
  • Jaggery - 300gm
  • Peanut - 300gm

Steps for Peanut Laddu

  • Heat a pan and roast the peanuts in it. Once done, let it cool and then remove the skin off it.
  • Add oil to the pan and heat it. Add jaggery and cook it until it melts. Keep stirring the mixture to make sure it doesn't burn.
  • When the jaggery completely melts add peanut to it. Mix sing dana properly with the jaggery paste.
  • Once both sing dana and jaggery are mixed properly put off the flame.Apply oil to your palms. Roll the mixture in a round laddu shape.
  • Peanut Laddu is ready to serve.
